Ice Fishing Season Minnow Prices near North Bay.

I tried northbay outfitters and billy bobs but neither had minnows. Today I went to Trapper Joes on Lake Nosbonsing. He had minnows at 4 dollars a dozen. Just throw your money in a can in the fridge and take your minnows. Follow the signs from perrons and then take the little driveway to the right when driving down to the lake.

It is 2 days before Lake Nipissing opens for ice fishing so I bought some minnows to add to the tank in my basement. I got 2 dozen shiners for $6.78 from Billy Bobs. On average they were small but I asked for the largest ones you got and she picked some larger ones out for me. I was very appreciative for that. It is going to be competitive getting large minnows for the opener on Lake Nipissing as all the area bait shops don't have the traditional large shiners we know and love. I feed em lots of fish flakes to fatten em up and at least their swimming around full and excited rather than starving.

Still can't get large shiners anywhere. Anyone got them? The best minnows I can find are from trapper joes on Lake Nosbonsing. You get a good variety of sizes. I seem to always get a few large ones that I use for tipups and medium and small creek chubs that I use for jigging. Still 4 dollars a dozen.
