    Starting work on winter wood....

I got out of the house today and hauled, cut, and split some wood. It sure was a good workout. I am slightly out of shape after the long winter, but it felt good... Slowly but surely I will be ramping up my wood cutting, so that I can hunt in the fall more!!! It is great working weather now with not too hot and not too cold temps... I am aiming for 40 cords... I have 1 or 2.... So a long ways to go. Not that I will burn 40 but I want some to start curing for future years.

I ended up cutting and splitting by hand about 35 cords of firewood. I have about 12 left and sold 23. I have orders for many more... I should have taken pictures when I got the bulk of my wood into the driveway. It was a sight to see. I was too busy trying to get the work done. I am aiming to cut many more cords this new year. Anyone in the North Bay area need wood I am taking orders for delivery sometime this summer or fall. I fell trees winter and spring, cut them all up throughout summer and split them as I get them out of the bush into my driveway. I stack em to 8' long by 4' high and they are cut to an average of 16" wide. A small deposit per cord will guarantee your wood delivery. Right now I have about 20 cords on order... I love cutting wood. Can't wait to get in the woods. I cut maple, elm and birch... In that order of preference. Also taking orders for kindling too. Big box for $10
