So far, Lake Nosbonsing has been good for ice fishing. Ive caught some good sizes of Walleye and Perch. Also lost a big walleye, (100 yards west of the south west corner of perron island is catching big wallllllleye) it put up a big fight and it got off the hook just above the hole.

I am staying in Powassan with family, just going to do some day trips I think. Looking at possibly going to Rabbit Lake for a day as well if you got any info for that one. Callendar Bay is something we plan on doing as well. Just looking to take a few fish home insteed of being skunked like last year on Bernard.

    Thanks for the help.

I guide on both lakes... I have a heated permanent on Callander Bay, I sell full and half day trips.... On Nosbonsing I would use a portable hut or two. I am going to deepwater point this saturday with portable huts for $50 per person for the day.

Looking forward to hitting the hard water on Nosponsing next weekend Feb 10-12. Hope the ice wasn't affected to bad by the warm start to February?

It was good for the ice as it melted 90% of the snow on the ice, thus less insulation. Ice is getting thicker and I'm having to drill further up the auger.

There is an ice fishing derby on Nosbonsing tomorrow for those in town. Registration starts at 9:30, and fishing is from 11-3. It is $20/hole and longest fish wins, plus lots of other prizes. It is at the public boat launch on the north side.
